User-Generated Content (UGC) in cyberspace is an important aspect of knowledge management discipline. We observed that the technical management of UGC has a number of issues and is not undertaken efficiently in large enterprises. This study provides review of extensive literature search for the technical issues of UGC globally. Based on the experience of authors in the field, and considering the gaps identified, it provides a macro level technical management model to address these issues using findings from a number of case studies.

He also has a number of industry and vendor based certifications (as educator or practitioner) from Microsoft, Cisco, IBM, The Open Group, CompTIA, AIPM and ANTA. Some of his research interest areas are emerging technologies such as molecular technologies and nanotechnology; enterprise architecture, transition and transformation projects, collaborative research for innovation through virtual teams, tacit knowledge transfer, open computing, social networking, and self-healing systems.

Dr. Tuncay Ercan

Associate Professor, Department of Computer Engineering, Yasar University, Izmir, Turkey

Dr. Tuncay Ercan graduated from Army Academy in 1986. He received his MS degree from Ege University, and PhD from Dokuz Eylul University in computer engineering in 2000 and 2005 respectively. He is an Assistant Professor at Yasar University. His research interests include wireless networking and applications, network modeling and design. He studies on the common networking applications with different disciplines.
