This paper illustrates application of the innovative approach that strengthens the capacity of SMEs in transition to knowledge economy. Application of effective usage of ICT and Knowledge Management (KM) is an effective instrument for the organizations to meet the global challenges of knowledge economy successfully. Innovative approaches are used to reach the strengthen competitiveness of SME’s. Organizational learning, knowledge generation, capture, sharing, and application are important activities in today’s rapid changing and hype-competitive business ecosystem.
The main research question of the paper is seeking for the promotion effective knowledge management in SME’s. The following quantitative research methods have been used in order to answer the above stated research question:
~ EKD (Enterprise Knowledge Development) methodology was used to acquire and represent the knowledge of different experts;
~ Expert interviews were used to identify the knowledge body in the different institutions;
~ Document analysis was used to identify the state of the art which reflect necessary knowledge, which should be acquired for ecosystem’s model development.
The approach proposed in the paper supports customized knowledge management and production to meet SME’s goal. The aim of presented approach is to support knowledge management process according to the organization needs and accessible IT.
