Globalization throughout history has generated a lot of controversy with the rise of global culture. Today Western cultures and practices has being transported into the existing cultural patterns of African societies. Unprecedented communications, transportation and computer technology have given the process new impetus. In view of this the rich and dynamic African culture has been diluted. Therefore, this paper is designed to outline and critically assess the influence of globalization on Nigeria’s socio-cultural heritage.

I am Dosunmu Akinola George Born 33 years Ago To The Family of Mr. and Mrs. S.O Dosunmu, Born in Lagos state, grew up in Lagos state, I had my primary education at Aje Methodist Primary School Sabo Yaba and obtained a primary school leaving certificate in the year 1986, Thereafter I proceeded for my post primary Education in same year at Aje Comprehensive High School Sabo Yaba, in the year 1992 I obtained a senior secondary school leaving certificate in year 1992. After my secondary school education, I worked as a clerical officer at Nigerian Breweries plc, Iganmu Lagos after a while I proceeded to Ogun State University now Olabisi Onabanjo University to study Sociology where I bagged B.Sc degree award in Sociology in the year 1999, After my first degree I worked as part timer lecturer at the then Ogun State Polytechnic, now Moshood Abiola Polytechnic Thereafter later in my career for academic pursuit I further my Education to postgraduate level where I obtained M.Sc Sociology at the University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Nigeria in year 2005. Presently I work as a fulltime Lecturer at Tai Solarin University of Education, www.tasu.edu.ng.
