María Calzada Pérez is al lecturer in translation and English at Jaume I University (Castellón, Spain). She studied at the University of Granada and the University of Essex and completed her PhD at Heriot-Watt University (Edinburgh, UK). She is author of "La aventura de la traducción: Dos Monólogos de Alan Bennett" (2001) and editor of "Apropos of Ideology" (2003). Her main interests are: Corpus-Based Translation Studies, European Parliament texts, Ideology, amongst others.
Dr Luz holds a PhD degree in Informatics from the University of
Edinburgh and has been a Lecturer in Computer Science at Trinity
College Dublin since 2001. Over the past years, he has worked on
technologies for human-computer interfaces in the areas of
computer-supported collaborative systems, spoken language
dialogue systems, natural language processing, dialogue
management, and design support tools for multimodal systems. Dr
Luz has acted as member of the program committee of several
international conferences and served in the editorial board of an
international journal. He has been a member of the Association
for Computing Machinery (ACM) since 1994 and contributes
regularly to the ACM Computing Reviews
