Extensive research background in Information Technology and Normal Accident Theory and the Theory of High Reliability Organizations. Received two National Science Foundation Grants to support this research. Does research on the use of Information Technology in Crisis Management--how Information Technology can be used to predict and prevent disasters or to minimize their impact. Does research on E-Commerce and appropriate strategies for use in organizations and society. Does research on the appropriate response of goverments to the threats and opportunities of Information Technology.
